  • Food Service Manager Scott Happeny is the on-site Food Service Manager for Emilys, Inc. and has been with the company since 1996 as revenues rose from $600,000 to over $1.5 million annually. Scott has successfully met the criteria necessary to qualify as Serv-Safe Certified. He has also completed the course for BarCode Certified Trainer.

  • Nutritionist Kathy Cunningham is the registered nutritionist for Emilys, Inc. Kathy is a consultant with many years' experience in menu development, nutritional analysis, and sanitation training.

  • Executive Chef Fernando Salas is the Executive Chef for Emilys, Inc. Fernando is responsible for planning and preparing more than 1,800 meals per day for our daycare and Meals on Wheels customers. Fernando has many years of management experience in the food services industry. He served ten years as the Executive Chef/Food Service Manager for a very successful restaurant. He is also Serv-Safe Certified.

  • First Chef Jose Salas recently joined Family Foods as its First Chef. Jose most recently was the head chef at a Boston Italian restaurant. Previously, Jose was responsible for dietary planning and meal preparation at a 300-bed assisted living facility.

  • Food Prepping and Handling Eric Happeny, who has been with Emilys, Inc since 1997, oversees a staff of three who are responsible for all food packaging and cold packs.

  • Food Delivery Staff Oscar Morales is our Delivery Manager. Oscar has been with Emilys, Inc since October 2000 and manages eight full-time drivers who deliver meals to our clients. Our drivers deliver hot meals each morning to our daycare locations and then lunchtime hot meals to our senior citizen clients. CORI checks are routinely completed for all drivers. All drivers are equipped with Nextel phones to ensure that the Delivery Manager can contact them, if needed.
